- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★My wife and I took the Introduction to White Water Kayaking class with Chesterfield Parks and Rec and loved it. Greg Velzy and his team provided great instruction, made the experience fun, and introduced us to an incredible new way to enjoy the river. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in outdoor activities in general, and especially to those interested in getting out on the river. You can start the first day with exactly zero experience and by the end of day two, you will have confidently paddled down a section of the James. There are tons of other classes available, as well. We look forward to taking more white water classes, but there is a huge array of activities available through the park system. Take advantage of this great resource!By Ian Slinkman, July 11, 2017
